Corporations and Bad Press

A certain company is  dealing with a spate of bad press regarding the actions of a previous employee. The details can be found at the employee’s site.  The upshot of this is that the employee reposted material found on public websites on her personal site. The information was confidential to the company however it was publicly available on their websites.
The company is now behaving, according to the disgruntled employee, as any typical large conglomerate where image is more important than action and is spinning this to the press as the actions of a disgruntled employee. This is getting internal attention as well. It is interesting to see this from the inside and being a part of the establishment which is attempting to develop solutions to prevent accidental release of information but yet make information as accessible as possible for employees.
